CFS Discovery provides one-to-one patient care from a professional team including Dr Lewis and two registered nurses. The clinic also calls upon a dietitian and an exercise physiologist to assist in the care, assessment and monitoring of each person's progress.

Intital consultations with Dr Lewis and his staff contribute to a diagnosis and a continuous review process monitors the outcomes of treatment strategies.

The first step a new patient needs to take is to contact the CFS Discovery Clinic and request that basic information be mailed to them. If, after reading this, the patient chooses to proceed, an initial appointment is made with a nurse at the clinic for introductory explanations and first-level testing.

At the end of the initial appointment the patient will be given a questionnaire pack to take home and complete in their own time. This should be posted or emailed back to the clinic before the first consultation with Dr Lewis.

The pack has been designed as an efficient means of providing Dr Lewis with the information he requires about each patient's personal and medical history prior to the appointment.

By the time a patient attends the first appointment, their individual history has been studied by Dr Lewis and the first steps towards improvement have already been taken.
