THE
AUTHOR
Donald
Lewis, after graduating from Melbourne University, Australia,
moved into family medical practice.
In
1985 Dr Lewis first encountered CFS / ME, and he became
aware of the difficulties and lack of understanding experienced
by people with this illness. He recognised that the diagnosis,
explanation and management was surrounded by uncertainty,
and often accompanied by derision and scepticism, both from
those who are close and those from whom help had been sought.
He developed an expertise in their management as a steadily
increasing stream of people with CFS / ME came to his clinic
for treatment.
This book is currently unavailable as it is being revised and updated in the light of significant advances in understanding and recent research.
