Dr
DP Lewis has been involved in the care and management of patients
with chronic fatigue syndrome [CFS] since 1985.
His
interest began at that time when it became obvious that
there existed considerable misunderstanding and very little
knowledge, related to the management of this illness.
|
| In
order to provide effective treatment for his patients, which
now number more than one thousand, Dr Lewis has established
a medical practice that is dedicated solely toward the diagnosis
and treatment of CFS. |
The
aim is to provide a place where those with CFS will receive
understanding and the best treatment A vital component of
this care is to make careful observations both of an individual's
condition upon presentation and the progress that is made.
The information that is being obtained is constantly being
studied by Dr Lewis for the sole purpose of increasing the
understanding of this illness, to identify areas of concern
and to develop treatment strategies which will further improve
the progress that has already been achieved.

Dr
Lewis is very much a part of the medical community involved
in the treatment of CFS, and continues to be informed from
well-established information sources including other medical
professionals, centres with established reputation and journals.
He is in communication with international and local specialists,
and attends conferences on CFS both in Australia and overseas.
